Luke Littler is through to the Grand Slam of Darts semi-finals after a record breaking 16-2 win over Jermaine Wattimena in the quarter-finals last night. He will now face two-time runner-up Gary Anderson in the semi-finals.
Luke Littler put on a masterful performance in the Grand Slam of Darts quarter-finals last night.
The 16-2 demolition of Jermain Wattimena is the highest margin victory in the Grand Slam of Darts quarter-finals and equals a scoreline set by Phil Taylor against Scott Waites.
Littler seemed to be unplayable as he hit 12 x 180’s, had a checkout percentage of 61.5% and averaged 105 in a match where Wattimena simply had no response.
Wattimena didn’t actually play badly as he averaged 92. The scoreline is less of a reflection on Wattimena and more so on the performance by Littler.
Just look at these two clips.

Littler takes out a 164 and 167 and towards the end of both clips, you can see Wattimena just staring blankly in what seems to be disbelief.
This has now set up a mouth-watering semi-finals match against two-time runner-up Gary Anderson, who beat an impressive Gian van Veen 16-14 to progress.
Following the win, Luke Littler gave us all a glimpse into his mindset at this tournament and the level of confidence he has going into the final day in Wolverhampton…

“I Feel Unbeatable” – Luke Littler’s Confidence Following Grand Slam Win
During his post-game interview, Littler was asked by Online Darts how good it felt to be in that type of mood/form and his response clearly a sign of his confidence at the minute.
He said:
“I feel unbeatable.
“Obviously when you’re playing that well, you just feel like no one can stop you.
“That just goes to show with Jermaine, he couldn’t get close.”
Littler wasn’t speaking arrogantly here but factually.
Wattimena was, for the most part, getting chances but they were at 100+ checkouts and when he missed these difficult looks, Littler was taking out 11 and 12 darts legs.
Check out the full interview below where Littler also comments on chasing a record breaking 9-darter and the importance of climbing the world rankings.
The semi-finals take place today with Martin Lukeman vs Mickey Mansell on first at 1:15pm followed by Gary Anderson vs Luke Littler at 3pm.
