It’s been a whirlwind season for the 17 year old darts sensation from Warrington!
Luke Littler burst onto the scene at the 2024 World Darts Championship as the 16 year old reached the final and catapulted himself and darts in general into mainstream media.
HIs performance had people like James Wade saying he’s “the Tiger Woods of darts” because of the eyeballs and money he’ll bring to the sport going forward.
He shot to a million followers on Instagram and was added to the Premier League line-up due to the hype surrounding him.
This was incredibly controversial due to his ranking and history but it proved to be a masterful call from the PDC as Littler would top the table and then go on to win the Premier League Finals 👏
In his debut season as a professional darts player, he’s moved up to fourth in the PDC Order of Merit, won his first ranking major title with the 2024 Grand Slam of Darts and has set about breaking darts records already.
He’s chasing the most 9-darters in a single season but at the Players Championship Finals this weekend, Luke Littler hit a new milestone for 180’s and it’s a mindblowing stat 🤯

Luke Littler already set the 180 record following the Grand Slam of Darts. During that tournament he actually set 2 x 180 records in just the single week…
Well, at this weekend’s Players Championship Finals, Luke Littler continued to extend one of those records and set a new darts milestone in the process.
Luke Littler became the FIRST PLAYER EVER to record 800 x 180’s in a calendar year.

He’s smashed the previous record held by Michael Smith who hit 714 in the 2022 season.

He has smashed the previous record set by Michael Smith in 2022 when he registered 714 maximums en route to lifting the 2023 World Darts Championship title.
Littler is now more than 80 maximums ahead of the prior record and the scary (or exciting) thing is, he’s still got time to add to it further!
With the 2025 World Darts Championship starting in December, Littler can continue to add to his tally right the way up until the quarter-finals if he makes it that far.
At just 17 years old and scoring like this, we have to assume that in the future he is going to aim for the 1,000 mark which would have been unthinkable if we mentioned that prior to the 2024 season.
Littler really is the finished product and he’s just 17 years old.
He’s proven that the 2024 World Championships were not a fluke and we’re ready to see what he can do to and for darts going forward…
