“They Should All Be Scared, Not Just Luke” – Gerwyn Price Convinced He Will Be In Play-off Final

Gerwyn Price is confident that he will win the 2025 Premier League Darts title and claims ALL the finalists should be ‘scared’ of him.

Gerwyn Price has had a much needed return to form in 2025. The Welshman came into the year with a new ‘positive’ approach to the game after working with a sport psychologist.

After a sub-par 2024 season by his standards, which included multiple early round exits in major tournaments and a 7th place finish in the Premier League, Price was even considering retirement from the game at one point!

His inclusion in the Premier League Darts line-up this year was heavily criticised as a result.

Despite this, three nightly wins throughout the campaign helped secure him fourth spot in the table and qualification to the play-off finals at The O2 in London tonight.

Price sits top of the Players Championship Order of Merit this season after three title wins so far and is an on-form player going into tonight.

However, his semi-final match is against reigning Premier League champion Luke Littler

Littler is one of the few players in better form than Price. The 18-year-old World Champion has topped the table for the second consecutive year setting new nightly win and points records in the process.

He’ll be looking to join Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen as the only players to successfully defend a Premier League title, though Price – the 2023 runner-up – isn’t phased and has warned that all the play-off finalists should be ‘scared’ of him going into tonight…

Gerwyn Price Backs Himself to Win 2025 Premier League

Gerwyn Price is one of the few players with a positive head-to-head record against Luke Littler (7-6).

During this Premier League campaign the players are tied in games (2-2) against each other but Price isn’t focused on just the semi-final game against Littler.

Speaking to talkSPORT Darts, Price confidently claimed that he will make it to the final over Luke Littler and sent a warning message to the other players.

He said:

“I’m just going to score as well as I can and take my chances.

“If I do take my chances, because I will get chances and I’ll get plenty of them, and If my doubles go in, I’ll win.

“They should all be scared, not just Luke, whoever gets to the final as well because I’m getting there.”

Gerwyn Price is a confidence player and just a few days ago he stated that if he plays his ‘A game’ then no-one will beat him.

Despite the self-belief, he’ll be an underdog going into this game with Luke Littler favourite to win the tournament. The pair will get the action underway tonight from 7:15pm.
